Banana & Cinnamon Porridge

Porridge is the perfect way to start the day: it’s healthy and filling, and will give you enough energy to keep going till lunchtime. I recently started playing around a bit more with what I put in and on my porridge, and I have ended up making this recipe almost every day for the past couple of weeks so I thought I’d share it with you guys. I hope you enjoy it!



  • 1/3 cup of porridge oats
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 1 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 handful of raisins
  • A drizzle of maple syrup or honey


  1. Combine the oats, milk and water in a bowl. Microwave for about 2 1/2 minutes. Make sure the bowl is nice and large otherwise the porridge might spill over in the microwave.
  2. Stir in the cinnamon and sprinkle over the banana and raisins. Finish with a drizzle of maple syrup.
