Porridge is the perfect way to start the day: it’s healthy and filling, and will give you enough energy to keep going till lunchtime. I recently started playing around a bit more with what I put in and on my porridge, and I have ended up making this recipe almost every day for the past couple of weeks so I thought I’d share it with you guys. I hope you enjoy it!
- 1/3 cup of porridge oats
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 1/3 cup of water
- 1 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 handful of raisins
- A drizzle of maple syrup or honey
- Combine the oats, milk and water in a bowl. Microwave for about 2 1/2 minutes. Make sure the bowl is nice and large otherwise the porridge might spill over in the microwave.
- Stir in the cinnamon and sprinkle over the banana and raisins. Finish with a drizzle of maple syrup.
